This tip was included in “Bodyworkbiz Massage Marketing Tips 37 – Become Almost Famous” I owe a huge thank you to Eric Brown the man behind
Bodyworkbiz.com. You encourage massage professionals to think of their massage
businesses on a global scale. When I started these newsletters all I had in mind was
staying “In Touch” with my regular clients providing them with information
that I |
hoped they would enjoy
and get some benefits from. Only two years later much
to my surprise and delight these newsletters are now reaching around the
globe. WOW! All across The power of
the internet is truly astounding. It’s such an |
everyday part of our lives that we
barely stop to think about how far each of us can actually reach. These
massage therapist’s have been helping me with invaluable feedback and suggestions that encourage me to create the
best newsletters possible. Ideas
about topics you would like to see covered are most welcome. Give me a call
or email today. |

Can massage help
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? Massage can be of great benefit depending on the cause of
the carpal tunnel syndrome. Increased pressure within the carpal tunnel can be found
in pregnant woman and some women taking birth control pills. Increased
pressure occurs with people suffering with conditions such as diabetes and
kidney disease too. Lymphatic drainage can help reduce the amount of edema in
these cases. If the root cause
is something like tenosynovitis of the wrist flexors, scar tissue formation
or just repeated wrist flexion or extension massage can help by reducing
inflammation and scar tissue formation. |
What can massage do for Parkinson’s sufferers? Gentle soothing massage techniques can be
helpful for relieving the muscle rigidity and stiffness of Parkinson’s
sufferers. Stiffness and tremors lead to muscle
exhaustion, similar to what happens when exercising. Unlike exercising
Parkinson's sufferers have no recovery time so gradually they suffer musclosketal changes. Massage increases the blood supply and
nutrition to muscles and speeds up the elimination of metabolic wastes that
give muscles a bit of a break from contractions related to Parkinson's. |
When Fybromyalgia is in a flare-up what then? When in a
flare-up a combination of deep moist heat then light stretching works for a
few (not all) of my Fibromyalgia clients. Chronic
Pain is as individual as a person’s finger print. It may take a lot of trail
and error to find a recipe to manage pain that works effectively. Progressive
muscle relaxation can help some folks. Light exercise like walking or swimming
works for others. Some swear by acupuncture. Sometimes
referring to other types of practitioners is the best treatment I can give. |
